The town is located on the banks of the Mandakini River, and the surrounding hills are covered with dense forests, waterfalls, and meadows. Also, it is nestled amidst dense forests of oaks, rhododendrons, myrica, pyrus, and other trees. The house is located on the old trekking route to the popular Deoria Tal and Kedarnath.
